How often do married couples make love?
There's no right and wrong answer. The ideal solution is when both people in a relationship are happy about how often they have sex.
In some relationships this can be everyday. In others it is once or twice a week. In yet others, it's once or twice a month. And for others, it can be less frequent than that.
Remember, too, that there are many people with no or low sex drive who are happy with their lives. Their relationships are not sex-driven. If they can find friends or partners with similar interests, and a similar lack of interest in sex, they can have great relationships
The frequency of sex varies in the same marriage depending on the couple's age and health, whether the woman is pregnant, whether there are young kids taking up most of the parents' time at home, how busy the husband and wife are with their careers, how much stress they are experiencing. A husband and wife who have settled into sex twice a month sex might increase to every day when they are on vacation and able to relax and give each other time.
There is obviously a problem when one partner wants more sex than the other. This causes frustration and resentment. It might lead to extra-marital affairs and the breakup of marriages. Sex is not just about frequency but quality. Is lots of bad sex better than no sex? For some it is, for others it's not.
