Pick of the Crop More readers' comments on Sarah Palin & Katie Couric Sandy writes: "What Palin proves is that any mom can be a leader. All this stuff about lack of experience is bogus. If there's a crisis, all she needs to do is ask Petraeus, do we nuke 'em or help 'em. End of story. She gets my vote. She Christ's candidate, that's clear." Maud writes: "As hard as I struggled to resist even getting into this conversation, it was that much harder trying to come up with the one single word to describe those don't get that SARAH PALIN IS A JOKE. And suddenly, I realized the word is "delusional". Sadly, it's just not their fault." BC Virginia writes: "This woman is dangerous and John McCain is even more dangerous. This is the person that will become leader of the free world if McCain, who is 72 years old and has a long history of cancer, dies? WOW! This is really scary. Please people please wake-up."

Readers Speak Out: Palin and Couric Jackie N. writes: "Katie needs to take care of her own messed up career and leave Sarah Palin alone. She will be as good a VP as any man or woman will ever be or was. I've always liked Katie but now she has messed up as far as I'm concerned... Katie you need to lose your attitude with Sarah Palin.. She is a smart woman, and I thought you were, but if you are for Barack Obama,, then you are not as smart as I thought you were. America better wake up before it is too late." Melissa writes: "Sarah Palin is an utter disgrace to all women. Despite holding a bachelor's degree, she has yet to convince me she is educated." Jwaters writes: "Sarah Palin will be good for this country." Des writes: "Katie Couric should have just interviewed John McCain instead of Sarah Palin. She asked nonsense historical questions of McCain. We learned nothing more in that interview other than Katie Couric's profound arrogance and subtle self- aggrandizement to promote her own career. It's not the right venue to impress the audience about her being a tough woman anchor. She just looked smaller in our eyes." HB writes: "America this vote is to important to place someone in office who can not put together a complete sentence when expressing themselves. Palin has no more of a right to be running for Vice President than the Moose she shoots. We are seeing everyday what happens when you place and idiot in office. Banks failing, foreclosure, out of control housing prices falling, and gas prices soaring. Can we as a country afford to place Palin in the White House? You have had slack years of one slack President and you would even consider Palin anywhere in your country's well being." H. Back writes: "She is definitely not an idiot, but perhaps an intelligent imbecile." Sam writes: "To think that this woman could lead our country is scary. She seems to have the knowledge of a second grader coupled with the mind of a dictator. May god help us all." Bob writes: "What really turns my blood cold about her is the number of people who will vote for her for no intelligent reason whatsoever. These people really scare me and what they are doing to this country. This would be even worse than King George and Wild Bill Hickock. Please, people, vote with your brains, not the other end of your body." Solarbut writes: "How disgusting you all are. Having never accessed your site previously, I didn't realize what a demarcation line I was crossing. You are so biased. When is that liberal, extremist Katie Couric's reign going to end? I will be so pleased to see her gone. Her disgusting snobbery and elitism when she interviews Conservatives makes me sick. When she smiles and shows her gums and her crooked nose and asymmetrical face becomes even more distorted, I feel as if I will regurgitate (or if you understand this more--puke) all over my computer. Ugh." Cheryl writes: "Thinking of Palin taking over the presidency is like having a high school cheerleader step in to play quarterback. Both are absolutely hopeless scenarios!" Alfredo writes: "Palin did help McCain, helped him lose thousands of votes and very likely the election." George writes: "Sandy (below); I find your comment ignorant. So you're saying that a person in the office of V.P., that is next in line to be president, should just leave the foreign policy of the U.S. to generals? If that was so this world would have been ashes decades ago. Get real! Your nuke 'em or help 'em attitude expresses the ignorance of all who support a know-nothing candidate like Palin." KS writes: "Palin is an airhead. McCain is "toast". Too bad for us Republicans." Raye Ann writes: "Sarah Palin is just as Ronald Reagan was, a kick in the Democrat's behind. They can't understand real Americans, and never will. That's why they really do need to leave the country. Unfortunately for some reason they never do." Nicki writes: "I can definitely see where CBS has definite bias where the candidates are concerned. Katie was totally rude to Sarah and in my opinion she looked like the witch." Francesca writes: "Palin harmed McCain, he choose a wing-nut for a running mate." T.Kaly writes: "I just can't believe this type of woman exists. She is good for a laugh but that is what we have Comedy Central for. She is going to represent the United States of America. There is no way women in this country are that stupid, so many of us women have worked very hard to be taken seriously. Wake up country she is going to lead this world into more trouble." Terry writes: "I'm happy I read this article and could see how antiquated and uninformed Palin's attitudes on the environment are. McCain will NOT get my vote thanks to this interview."
