Gov. Sarah
Palin: For someone who preaches the necessity of cleaning up
Washington and Wall Street, Palin is always too close to scandal,
whether it's Troopergate, the Bridge to Nowhere, nutty Pastor
Muthee (see below), her famed oil pipeline which might not be
built, and her $150,000 on outfits and hair.

Hollywood
actress and Arkansas native Mary Steenburgen backs Obama, who has
overwhelming support in Hollywood. What's remarkable is the number
of leading Republicans who will vote for Obama.

Palin the 'Reformer'
Abuses Power Again

Sarah Palin's Private Concession Speech to Supporters]
Sarah Palin is once again at
the center of an investigation into her abuse of power as governor
of Alaska.
This time it's a matter of
charging the state more than $21,000 for her three daughters'
commercial flights, including events where they weren't invited,
and later amending expense forms to make it look like the children
were on official state business.
The state already is reviewing nearly $17,000 in
payments to Palin for 312 nights she slept at her home in Wasilla,
an hour's drive from her workplace in Anchorage.
Republicans Jumping Ship
to Back Obama While many
poor white voters with no college degree are fired up by Sarah
Palin's brand of "Experience isn't worth a damn"
populism, highly educated, bookish Republicans are jumping ship at
an alarming rate. We have a
couple of personal favorites: Charles Fried, the Harvard professor
and Solicitor General under Ronald Reagan, who was part of the
McCain team until Sarah Palin was chosen and McCain's campaign
turned nasty and aggressive. Then
there's Christopher Buckley of the National Review, who backs
Obama for reasons of his intelligence and excellent campaign.
Buckley could not support McCain's increasingly vicious campaign
backed by attack dog Sarah Palin. |
